Введение

Работа с медиафайлами в WordPress невероятно удобная, аналогов я не встречал (или просто успешно забыл). Предлагаю рассмотреть пока работу с изображениями, а дальше уже по ходу в других инструкциях копнём глубже.

Пока не начали подробный обзор, скажу сразу: существует два варианта загрузки файлов. Первый — через раздел «Медиафайлы» главного меню, второй — через кнопку «Добавить медиафайл» в интерфейсе создания записи или страницы. Разница между ними небольшая.

Если вы загружаете медиафайл с вашего компьютера через интерфейс создания страницы или записи, то она автоматически «привязывается» к ней. То есть, в списке медиафайлов (раздел меню) вы увидите, когда, кем и к какой странице или записи был загружен этот файл.

В первом же случае, при загрузке файла через раздел «Медиафайлы», привязка к страницам и постам не осуществляется. Если часто пользоваться этой функцией без привязки к материалам, то спустя время вы не найдёте концов и не поймёте, для чего этот файл вам нужен был.

Поэтому, я рекомендую следующий вариант использования: если файл напрямую относится к записи или странице, то загружать его необходимо через интерфейс редактирования материала. Так проще и легче, поверьте.

В первую очередь любой медиафайл должен быть уникальным. Если вы добавляете  картинку в статью и при том не одну, то будьте добры поискать или сделать качественное, ранее не использованное изображение.

Как найти уникальную картинку?

1. Делать скриншоты, это снимки экрана компьютера. Если не знаете как выполнить такое действие или понимаете этот процесс смутно, то почитайте статью на портале.
2. Заказывать рисованные изображения на любую тему — это не только уникально, но и оригинально, что, безусловно, оценят посетители.
3. Использовать фотостоки, главное найдите удобный фотобанк, например, www.firestock.ru.

Сами облачные сервисы стали сейчас довольно-таки популярны, и компании придумывают новые и новые способы привлечения пользователей именно к себе. Итак, что же нам предлагает Mediafire?

Пользователю на бесплатной основе предоставляется более 50 гигабайт свободного виртуального пространства, с возможностью увеличить этот объем хоть до 100 терабайт, естественно, за деньги. Сервера компании отличаются своей быстротой, благодаря чему скачивать файлы с облака довольно удобно.

Помимо всего названного, mediafire.com поддерживает загрузку множества форматов, а каждый файл или папку можно скрыть, или, напротив, сделать общедоступной. Такие настройки приватности позволяют легко делиться своими файлами с друзьями и другими пользователями интернета.

Все загруженные файлы в веб-версии сервиса можно отфильтровывать соответствующей функцией, чтобы на странице отображался только интересующий вас контент. Вообще, расписывать особенности и возможности файлообменника Mediafire можно бесконечно, и поэтому перейдем к более предметному разговору, например, к процедуре регистрации.

Features

55 % – Fair

MediaFire offers a stripped-down experience that skimps on many of the features we’ve come to expect from cloud storage services. Most importantly, there is no desktop app, so you can’t sync files to your computer. If you’re fine with that, though, and you only need a file hosting website to store and share files, you might find its simple approach to cloud storage attractive.

There are previews for files, though they’re limited to images. There is no built-in music or video player, and you can’t even preview documents, such as Microsoft Office files or PDF files. The previews open in a new tab, which is annoying.

The lack of media playback is probably meant to discourage piracy. MediaFire automatically removes copyrighted content as another anti-piracy measure. This means that you can’t use MediaFire to backup your music library, even if all of your music is legally purchased. Plus, it means that you can’t view your own home videos that are stored there, either.

MediaFire also lacks any integration with third-party apps, so there’s very little room for collaboration. There is also no note-taking app nor any other kind of productivity feature. If you need a cloud service that’s all about collaboration and third-party apps, Google Drive might be the right choice for you.

Overall, MediaFire is extremely limited in its capabilities, but that’s not the worst of it. It has multiple issues concerning security and usability, but there will be more on that later in this MediaFire review.

Рассмотрим ситуацию: вам надо добавить в новую запись тематическое изображение. Обычная такая ситуация, правда ведь? Читать простыню текста без картинок очень скучно, по крайней мере мне.

Возьмём для примера текущую страницу, в которую мне надо будет вставить несколько изображений, чтобы вы не только читали текст, но и видели снимки моего экрана. Приступим!

Первым делом, мне надо подготовить изображение. Для этого я делаю снимок экрана, обрезаю её в графическом редакторе и сохраняю на рабочий стол.

Для загрузки и вставки изображения в редакторе WordPress имеется кнопка с одноимённым названием «Добавить медиафайл»:

Нажимаем по ней и видим следующее всплывающее окно:

У вас есть два варианта: загрузить новый файл или же обратиться к Библиотеке файлов для поиска среди ранее загруженных файлов. Нам пока это не надо, поэтому нас интересует вкладка «Загрузить файлы» этого окна.

WordPress умная система и старается предугадывать ваши действия, а точнее — запоминает последнее использованное. Например, если вы часто загружаете файлы, то при очередном нажатии на «Добавить медиафайл» WordPress автоматически откроет эту вкладку с загрузкой файлов.

Если же вы чаще обращаетесь к существующим медиафайлам, то вкладка «Библиотека файлов» будет выбрана по-умолчанию

Так вот, для загрузки файла нам необходимо нажать на кнопку «Выберите файлы», после которой появится всплывающее окно для выбора файла. Находите в нём тот файл, который будете загружать.

Интерфейс тем временем изменится на такой:

Т.к. файл уже загрузился, то и вкладка изменится на «Библиотеку файлов», в которой можно увидеть все ранее загруженные файлы и документы.

Автоматически будет выделен тот файл, который вы загрузили в данный момент. Если вы выбрали несколько файлов, то выбраны будут все автоматически.

Enhanced Media Library

Плагин Enhanced Media Library – это комплексное решение для управления вашими медиа элементами. Если вы много работаете с медиа файлами, то этот плагин будет вам полезен.

• Категории: Он создаёт множество категорий для медиа элементов и потом добавляет возможность фильтровать ваши файлы по категориям. Вы можете определить категории во время загрузки, что позволяет распределить по категориям как новые, так и уже существующие файлы.
• Расширяемость: Расширенная медиа библиотека содержит несколько фильтров плагинов, которые помогают сортировать изображения по типам файла, например, аудио, видео, PDF. Аналогично, вы можете выбрать фильтр, который появится в режиме Grid and List. Плагин полностью совместим с родными шорткодами WordPress и другими пользовательскими типами записи.

MediaFire has decent upload and download speeds, but despite this, we’re giving it a low rating for speed, based on the very slow website. We performed our speed test using a 1GB test file, with a download speed of 32 Mbps and an upload speed of 6 Mbps. The expected times were 23 minutes and 40 seconds for uploads and four and a half minutes for downloads.

It took MediaFire an average of 32 minutes to upload our test file. The expected time was just under 24 minutes, so it’s off the mark by quite a bit, but it’s still nothing too terrible. There is also a progress bar to tell you how far along your upload is, which is a nice little feature.

MediaFire download speeds were good, with the 1GB test file taking around five and a half minutes to download, which is just a minute over the expected time.

File Sharing & Syncing

MediaFire makes it easy to share files. One of MediaFire’s benefits is its high upload cap. This means you can use MediaFire to share video files and other large files. However, its sharing features are very limited, especially for free users, so check out our guide on how to share large files over the internet, if you want alternatives.

The lack of a desktop app, or any other kind of desktop feature, means that MediaFire doesn’t have any syncing capabilities. So anytime you want to update an uploaded file, you have to manually upload it to the website, instead of syncing it automatically.

To share a file, you can right-click on the file you want to share and choose one of two options. The first is the “copy link” option. This copies a sharing link to your clipboard that you can paste anywhere you like.

The second option is simply called “share.” It also lets you copy a sharing link, but you can also use this option to share files directly to social media. If the file you’re sharing is an image, there will be options to share a link either to the image itself or a download link for the image file.

Sharing for Collaboration

If you want someone to upload a file to your folders, you’re out of luck, unless you’re a paid user. You can only create upload links to special folders called FileDrop folders. Linking someone to a FileDrop folder will let them upload anything to it, but they won’t be able to access your other folders.

To add to the never-ending list of things you can’t do with MediaFire, you can’t set permissions for shared links, so everyone has permission to download your files if they have the link to it, even if you never gave them permission to do so. You can set passwords for sharing links, though you have to pay for that feature.

If you add a friend on MediaFire, you can “follow” them, if they give you permission. Doing this gives you access to all of their files, and you can see when they post a new file in your “following” tab.

Paid Sharing Features

Despite lacking so many features that most of its competitors have, MediaFire still manages to find a few features to take away from its free users, and most of these features are related to sharing. We already mentioned FileDrop folders and that you can’t set passwords for sharing links if you’re a free user, but there are more features still locked away behind a paywall.

Another feature that only paid users have access to is one-time links. These links let you share a file that can be downloaded only once, preventing the file from changing hands unwantedly.

A paid account will also let you download multiple files at once as a ZIP archive. This is a very common feature that every other cloud service offers, and its omission from the Basic plan is the most blatant example of MediaFire’s price gouging. Paid accounts can also share multiple files at once, without having to first put them in a folder.

A paid account can also download files directly from the homepage, without being redirected to a separate download page that’s riddled with ads. Plus, paid users don’t get any of those annoying ads on the main site, either.

The Verdict

There is very little reason to recommend MediaFire to anyone. Despite its free plan that offers reasonable storage space, it is completely devoid of even basic cloud storage features. Crucial things, such as customer service, are locked behind a paywall.

To make matters worse, its service is very slow, and it’s a frustrating experience to use even the site’s basic functions. Sure, if all you care about is a place to store files for free, and you find staring at loading screens exciting, give MediaFire a spin. Otherwise, you can choose an alternative from our list of the best free cloud services, where pCloud comes out on top.

Что такое вордпресс?

WordPress — это удобная платформа для управления сайтом. Используя этот движок, вы будете наслаждаться процессом работы, а не наоборот. WordPress полностью бесплатен и находится в свободном доступе.

Добавить медиафайл.

Выше я уже дал определение понятию «медифайл», однако в панели WordPress медиафайлом называется любой файл, который вы можете добавить. Почему так? Все это сводится к банальной кнопке (называется «Добавить медиафайл»), через которую осуществляется практически любая загрузка файлов.

Следуйте по инструкции и не запутаетесь. Надеюсь у вас создан сайт и открыта административная панель вордпресс. Если личного ресурса создано не было, то прочитайте статью «Как создать блог для души и заработка«. Если вы просто не знаете, как попасть в админку, то в браузерной строке после названия домена и слыша (/) пропишите wp-admin. Пример:  http://medicina-treat.ru/wp-admin/. ВЫполните подобное со своим сайтом.

Итак, в админ панели добавить медиафайл можно при помощи раздела «Медиафайлы», либо через кнопку «Добавить медифайл» при создании новой записи. Рассмотрим лишь второй вариант, он удобен и прост. В чем отличия? Если добавлять через раздел «Медиафайлы» то вы не привязываете данный файл к определенной записи или странице. Можно будет просто забыть к чему относится то или иное видео, к примеру.

Программы MediaFire на ПК и мобильные устройства

Если вам легче использовать только mediafire на русском, загрузите приложение себе на компьютер или мобильное устройство.

Для этого меню выберите опцию «Desktop & Mobile», вы перейдете на страницу, которая будет называться Tools, то есть Инструменты.

Здесь 4 предложения для пользователей, выбирайте то, что вам необходимо или просто доступно (поговорим о двух из них):

• MediaFire Desktop for OSX and Windows – приложение для компьютера, нажимаем на «Learn More» и попадаем на страницу загрузки.

Теперь вы, как обычно, открываете приложение и даете согласие на установку, далее следуйте за установщиком.

После этого у вас запросят перезагрузку компьютера:

Далее потребуется только зарегистрироваться, если вы еще этого не сделали, или сразу войти в систему («Log in»).

Потребуются предварительные установки, для перехода используйте команду «Continue», то есть, «Далее».

При входе открывается папка «MediaFire», здесь будут копироваться загруженные онлайн файлы, функцию можно отключить. Теперь можно следить за оповещениями, даже когда вы не в онлайн-режиме.

Управление осуществляется при помощи значков в правом верхнем углу – справа настройки, посередине папка с файлами.

Левая иконка дает доступ к созданию скриншотов.

• MediaFire Mobile for Android and iOS – приложение для смартфона. Соответственно загрузка производится с GooglePlay и iTunes.

Нельзя сказать, что хранилище MediaFire – это что-то кардинально новое, но все необходимые опции здесь есть.

Объем также достаточно большой, его можно использовать совершенно спокойно для своих личных целей.

Интерфейс очень удобный и простой, но для беспроблемного использования лучше знать хотя бы основы английского языка.

Аудио

Аудио или звуковые файлы являются одной из самых больших категорий, которая объединяет огромное количество всевозможных форматов.

На заре их появления и создания изначально использовался формат PCM WAVE, который был разработан корпорацией Microsoft. Но файлы этого типа были очень большими по размеру и хранить их на жестких дисках малого объема или съемных носителях в виде тех же дискет было достаточно проблематично.

Все изменилось, когда был разработан специальный кодек Fraunhofer MP3 Encoder, позволявший производить сжатие аудиоинформации с уменьшением размера исходного WAV-файла. Правда, с небольшой потерей качества на уровне понижения звуковых характеристик (частоты дискретизации, глубины звука и т.д.). Однако сегодня формат MP3 усовершенствован настолько, что не только разница в звучании незаметна, но иногда файлы этого стандарта, к примеру, с битрейтом на уровне 320 кбит/с звучат намного лучше, нежели любой другой формат.

Говоря о том, что такое медиафайл категории аудио, можно отметить, что в последнее время достаточно распространенными и популярными форматами являются такие как:

• AIFF;
• FLAC;
• CDDA;
• DVD Audio и многие другие.

Некоторые их этих форматов являются самостоятельными и могут воспроизводиться любыми проигрывателями. Другие представляют собой аудиодорожки, которые встраиваются в видео. Если же взять еще и узкоспециализированные форматы музыкальных программ (например, формат FLP для секвенсора FL Studio), количество форматов возрастает просто неимоверно.

Bandwidth

Business services offer «Rollover Bandwidth». Unused bandwidth in each billing period will become available in subsequent billing periods, without time limitations for usage. If you upgrade your plan, you will be billed immediately for the new plan and any unused bandwidth from your previous plan will be rolled over into your new plan. Additional increments of bandwidth may be purchased for immediate use, which qualifies as Rollover Bandwidth. This one time purchase is not a recurring charge and will not affect the pricing of your Subscription service. You may view your billing history from your My Account page.

Pro services will be allocated 1TB of total storage, and a minimum of 1TB of bandwidth every 30 days, based on your initial subscription date. Additional increments of bandwidth may be purchased. If you have less than 1TB available at the beginning of the next 30 day period, your bandwidth will be automatically increased to 1TB. If your account is in excess of 1TB, bandwidth will not be added or deducted.

Bandwidth in a premium account is consumed by anyone, including you, who download your file(s). From your My Account page, you may view stats about your bandwidth usage.
