Option 1 — Multiple Hirens ISO files

Most of the Hirens menu items will work just by renaming the .iso file to .isowinvh but the DOS Utilities require the \HBCD\Dos (or DLCD or DLC1, etc.) folder to be extracted onto the E2B drive — see Option 2 .

Kon-Boot won’t work if booting from a Hiren’s ISO because hd0 will be the USB boot drive and not the internal HDD — use the HirensISO.mnu file in the \_ISO\docs folder for KonBoot ISO booting. 

If you have trouble getting the HBCD Menu program in MiniXP working (it should work if you use .isowinvh), browse to the Hirens ISO on the E2B USB drive in MiniXP — right-click and choose Mount as ImDisk Virtual Disk, then run \HBCDMenu.cmd from the mounted ISO.

Что такое и как пользоваться Hiren’s Boot CD

Доброго времени суток! Мы писали о многом, но сегодня хотелось бы обсудить незаменимый инструмент для практически всех людей, той или иной стороной затрагивающих IT сферу, в частности ремонты ПК — Hiren’s Boot CD.

В своей группе социальной сети , мы уже сообщали о выходе (сегодня, 9 ноября 2012) новой английской версии 15.2. Новичкам будет полезно знать, что на этом одном загрузочном CD собраны десятки самых популярных программ и утилит для работы в режиме DOS. Это утилиты для работы с жестким диском, его восстановления и диагностики, утилиты диагностики всех узлов компьютера, live CD Windows XP, файловые менеджеры, утилиты для работы в сети, а также многие другие. Так же, можно упомянуть о том, что не обязательно записывать скачанный образ на CD/DVD «болванки», т.к. на сайте автора, а так же русскоязычном переводе подробно описана возможность записи Hiren’s Boot CD на USB флеш устройство.

Английскую версию можно скачать на сайте разработчика, русская версия от Lexapass обычно обновляется позже, найти её можно будет на сайте автора русификации.

В подробной новости предложу вам посмотреть небольшой обзор диска, что предлагает нам загрузочный образ.

А предлагает этот набор довольно таки много. Когда вы запишите скачанный образ на CD/DVD диск или USB флешку или USB жесткий диск, вам нужно будет активировать в BIOS вашей материнской платы или ноутбука загрузку с CD/DVD диска или USB устройства. В большинстве случаев туда можно зайти нажимая либо клавишу DEL при старте, либо F2, после чего найти в меню приоритет загрузок с устройств, установить что вам нужно в приоритет выше, сохранить измененные значения (обычно, клавишей F10) и перезагрузить ПК, дождавшись загрузки с нужного устройства.

Рассмотрим русскоязычную версию Hiren’s Boot CD 15.1 от lexapass, первоначальное меню: само меню, если листать клавишей «вниз» состоит из трех страниц:

Из наиболее востребованных можно подчеркнуть «Программы DOS», в котором те, кто использует Hiren’s Boot CD довольно таки давно, найдут меню, изначально предлагавшееся при загрузке:

Помимо, наиболее часто используемого пункта «Разбивка дисков», где можно будет найти наиболее часто используемые программы для работы с партициями (разделами) жесткого (или твердотельного) диска, вам скорей всего понадобятся: пункт «Тесты»: Где, помимо прочего, можно будет найти расширенный вариант тестов памяти, а так же, если возвращаться в главное меню, наиболее необходимая менюшка «Жесткие диски», зайдя в которую, можно будет увидеть необходимые программы: В частности, наиболее часто используемыми будут широкоизвестные Victoria и MHDD.

Возвращаясь к главному меню, выдаваемому сразу же при загрузке с CD/DVD/USB устройства, хотелось бы вспомнить тему с вирусами и их лечением. Мы уже упоминали об онлайн проверке, а так же, в случаях если с ПК невозможно загрузиться, использовать Kaspersky Rescue Disk для лечения более серьёзной «заразы», но в данном случае, хотлеось бы отметить третий вариант. Как вы, наверное, уже заметили, на Hiren’s Boot CD есть Windows PE (или Windows XP Live CD), которую можно загрузить, при чем, на моей памяти, это одна из самых быстро-загружаемых LiveCD, при чем как с CD/DVD, так и с USB:

Вот рабочий стол уже загруженного Live CD. Помимо всех стандартных (обычных) фишек или примочек, предлагаемыми другими LiveCD, хотелось бы отметить наличие собственного меню, с набором программ по борьбе с вышеупомянутыми вирусами, например, присутствует программа AniWinLocker, а так же утилиты для работы с жестким диском, его восстановления и диагностики, утилиты диагностики всех узлов компьютера, файловые менеджеры, утилиты для работы в сети, а также многое другое.

Нюансы по работе каждой из предлагаемых программ, думаю, нужно смотреть в интернете, потому что их на столько много, что этому нужно посвящать отдельную статью

DLC Boot

Some versions of HBCD/DLCD have bugs e.g. DLC1 version 2 — see here for details.

If booting from ISO use file extension _.isoHW.iso (E2B v1.B0+ required).

Use only one DLC ISO per E2B drive. The HBCD\DLC Menu will mount the first .iso file it can find containing \DLCBoot.exe. If you have multiple DLC ISOs on the E2B drive, any one of them could be loaded! 

I recommend you use a spare USB Flash drive and make a working USB version of DLCBoot using the recommended method. Then make a .imgPTN file from the USB flash drive to add to E2B. That way, the configuration files will be set up to run correctly from a USB drive rather than from a CD.

DLC 2016 and later versions contain UEFI boot files. If you make a FAT32 .imgPTN file from them, you can then also UEFI-boot to DLC.

DLC 2019 v3.6 — if you convert the ISO to .imgPTN you will need to edit the \syslinux.cfg file — see blog post here and video here.

DLC 2017 v3.4 Final (.imgPTN)

1. Extract the DLC .rar file to a temporary folder on your Windows hard disk.
2. Right-click on DLCBoot.exe and run it as Administrator.
3. Click on the CD icon on the top bar (3rd icon just after the text ‘Win Soft’) and make a DLC USB ISO file.
4. If OK, drag-and-drop the USB drive icon\letter in Explorer onto the MakePartImage Desktop shortcut (not MPI_FAT32) and make a DLC2017.imgPTN file use FAT32, Volume Name can be anything — e.g. DLC2017 and Syslinux = N — when prompted (if 2019 use Syslinux v603), do NOT allow MakePartImage to AUTO-CORRECT the boot parameters. 

I suggest you add at least 5GB to the suggested size when prompted by MPI to allow for extra files which you may want to add.

It is best not to use the syslinux menu system for 2017, so edit \DLC1\Menu\menu.lst and add a # symbol to the first ‘title’ line, e.g.

#title Load Grub4DOS Menu

If you wish, you can also edit \DLC1\Programs\DOS\Menu\en\USB\Menu.lst to remove the Vietnamese menu entry, etc.

Modify the Hirens\DLC menu to return to E2B the menu

If you wish to return to the E2B menu from the Hirens\DLC menu, you must locate the menu fiile — e.g. menu.lst file (may be another name) and modify it.

For instance, HBCD 15.2 has a grub4dos menu at \HBCD\menu.lst and DLC is at \DLC1\Programs\Dos\Menu\en\USB\menu.lst. 

You can add an entry to boot to E2B:

For a syslinux menu, use COM32 and chain.c32 (assuming you know the path to chain.c32):

• Similar to different Windows 10 PE variants, you can undoubtedly incorporate its ISO record into USB with AIOCreator.exe. At present the most recent variant is v1.0.1. 
• Primarily, download the ISO file available on the below-mentioned link and insert it into a portable drive like a CD or USB. 
• Run AIOCreator.exe, make a change to Integration, select Windows and afterward select WinPE 7/8.1/10 in the drop-down rundown.
• Choose the ISO record, at that point click on OK to coordinate.
• Open the ISO record, and then create a copy of the HBCD_PE.ini document to the base of the AIO Boot drive. Skirt this progression on the off chance that it’s already available on the drive.
• After completing all these procedures, you are now allowed to restart your PC or use VirtualBox or VMware Workstation to verify and boot it from the WinPE and Setup menu.

E2B + agFM (MBR+UEFI)

If you are using E2B plus the UEFI agFM combination, I recommend converting all ISO files to .imgPTN23 files.

Otherwise here are my suggested extensions for direct booting from E2B (v2.04+)+agFM (v1.50+):

• HBCD-PE-x64 — .isomap64 or .isowin64
• Strelec PE      — .isowin (E2B v2.04+) (if you also use DOS utilities, leave a .iso and choose .isowin if you want to boot to WinPE).
• DLCBoot        — _.isoHW.iso — e.g. DLCBoot2019_v3.6_.isohw.iso and choose Windows option in agFM. DLC will mount and test all .iso files to find the ISO file if it cannot see a \DLC1 folder. For Win10 PEs only can use .isowin for both E2B and agFM.

These must ALWAYS end in .ISO or else they won’t work correctly:
